The Upper Wharfedale Heritage Group (UWHG) was formed in 2005 with the purpose of adding to the knowledge of the archaeologically rich area of Upper Wharfedale and the surrounding landscapes.

Throughout the year we run a programme of talks and walks covering a wide range of heritage related subjects – these are open to the public and the full details may be found below.

The UWHG have been involved in many landscape surveys and excavations - working in conjunction with the Ingleborough Archaeology Group (IAG), the Yorkshire Dales National Park (YDNPA) and the Yorkshire Dales Landscape Trust (YDLRT).
