During 2010 the UWHG is presenting a series of meetings and guided walks on a variety of topics of archaeological interest
Indoor meetings are held 19:30 in the Soroptimist Rooms, 28 Otley Street, Skipton
Tuesday 7th September - Grass Woods - a day walk
Alan Butterfield will guide us around this former medieval demesne woodland with hazel coppice and botanical survivals. It is managed in part by the YWT. Features include kilns, prehistoric structures, orthostat drystone walls, lead extraction and hollow-ways.
As car parking limited please park in Grassington and walk.
Meet 10.30 at the old quarry SD982653. Bring lunch, strong footwear and suitable clothing.
